In I Don't Want It, the corner office is a cage with better furniture. The title, raise, and higher floor come attached to vanished weekends, endless meetings, and a future the composite narrator has already seen in the exhausted people above him.
This is the third 不: 不要, or I don't want it. Apathy was passive; rejection takes energy. For the first time, the narrator stops surviving the script and says no to the role it wrote for him.
昇進を提示された瞬間、それが成功ではなく警告に見えることがある。
複数の会社員の実感を重ねた語り手にとって、I Don't Want Itの角部屋は家具だけが立派になった檻だ。肩書き、昇給、上の階。そのすべてには、消えていく週末、増え続ける会議、そして上司たちの姿に見てしまった未来がついてくる。
