Behind the Track楽曲の背景
1980s Tokyo is the first wrong stop that feels painful to leave. Record-store music spills into the street, neon reflects through the rain, and every new corner seems to contain another song the traveler has never heard.
The time device is ready in their pocket, but they keep postponing the jump: one more street, one more light, ‘もう少しだけ’. For the first time, the question is no longer how to get away. It is whether leaving is necessary at all.
The album's comedy develops its first bittersweet edge here. A place does not have to be yours for losing it to hurt.
Lyrics歌詞
Stepped out of the static into candy-colored lights Every sign is screaming in カタカナ tonight すみません — I bumped into someone's shopping bag She laughed it off and waved, like nothing's ever bad What year is this? ...I don't care The bass line from the record store is pulling me inside Vinyl racks and neon stacks and city pop on high The cashier said いらっしゃい with a smile so wide I bought a tape I'll never play from some other time Every corner, something new Every light's a different hue I keep walking but my feet already know I don't wanna leave this glow Neon signs and stereo Every street's a song I've never heard before Lost again but this time, no Wait... this isn't my stop But what if I just don't go? Crepes in 原宿, rain on 竹下 Street 綺麗 — everything's so beautiful it's bittersweet The time machine is humming in my pocket, warm and low It's ready when I am — but I'm not ready though I don't wanna leave this glow Neon signs and stereo Every street's a song I've never heard before Lost again but this time, no Wait... this isn't my stop But what if I just don't go? もう少しだけ Just a little longer, just one more street The sun is coming up on something I can't keep Every era fades but this one feels like mine Eh... close enough to stay I don't wanna leave this glow Neon signs and stereo Every street's a song I've never heard before Lost again but this time — I'm fine Wrong place, wrong time But for once, it feels like mine The neon dims... the tape keeps playing Somewhere in my pocket, the machine starts humming again
