Track 4 · Lyrics
Sunrise
One more scroll becomes a night of imagined catastrophes. A dead battery interrupts the prophecy, and morning arrives with a bird that has nothing to announce.

Behind the Track
At two in the morning, the narrator promises to stop after one more scroll. One tab becomes a hundred. Strangers are wrong, symptoms need searching, and tomorrow’s losses begin arriving tonight.
The mattress becomes a haunted mountain. The phone’s blue light gathers every worst-case scenario into one room. Tuesday turns into Wednesday while the clock climbs through numbers the narrator would rather not know.
The battery dies in the middle of a prophecy. Daylight enters, a bird continues being a bird, and the screen stays dark. Nothing has been solved in full. For a moment, the narrator can listen to the day instead of rehearsing its end.
Lyrics
Two in the morning and the screen is all the light I'll close my eyes in just one more, I swear, alright (don't scroll down) The thumb begins its pilgrimage, the feed begins to feed A famine in my eyes that no amount of this will feed One tab becomes a hundred, every fear a brand new door A man I've never met is wrong and now it's holy war The night unhooks its demons and they circle round my head A sabbath on the mountain of the mattress and the bed The clock is climbing numbers that I do not want to know (it's three now) Each scroll a little faster, but there's nowhere left to go (it's four now) Spiral, spiral, all the witches dance for me Every worst-case scenario in 4K clarity (don't look down) It's not the end of everything, it's not a sign, a curse It's a Tuesday turning Wednesday and a brain that won't reverse (go to sleep) I'm googling my symptoms and I'm reading ancient texts I'm grieving future funerals and dreading what comes next The mountain's fully haunted now, the demons know my name They're dancing to the flicker of the same blue rectangle flame My heart's a kicking drum machine, my thoughts a runaway The sabbath hits its highest note — and then it dies away The screen goes black mid-prophecy, the spell begins to break The demons scatter, dawn is here 天亮了 The bell of morning tolls across the mountain and the deep The witches lose their power when the battery won't keep And the end of all the world and just a Tuesday night sound the same — thank god, thank god — they sound the same tonight Sunrise, sunrise, all the witches had to flee The dawn came up uninvited and it came for free (look outside) It wasn't the end of everything, it never was, it's fine A bird is doing bird things on a wire in morning shine (let it go) The screen stays dark, I let it, and I listen to the day I rehearse the apocalypse, and it cancels anyway (go to sleep)
