I Don't Know turns that moment into an entire career. Fifteen years in, its composite narrator is still navigating new systems, shifting org charts, and jargon that seems to multiply whenever someone asks what the work actually is. He looks confident because everyone else does. Under the desk, he is searching for the answer.
The joke gets darker as the mask becomes permanent: experience has not ended the confusion; it has only made him better at hiding it. By the final chorus, the possibility is strangely comforting — perhaps nobody knows.
