The lanterns are red, the alley is narrow, and midnight has just rung again. Something waits in the shadow at the end of the lane. Strangely, it is swaying to the beat.
Moonlit Groove is the EP's playful ghost story. Yōkai, a spinning fox spirit, falling blossoms, and phantom rhythms crowd the floor. The night is uncanny, but the groove keeps turning fear into invitation.
月夜—read tsukiyo—means a moonlit night. The Japanese phrases in the bridge refuse stillness: 止まらない, it will not stop; 踊り続けて, keep dancing. The narrator understands that the spirits are not going anywhere.
So they stop trying to escape. The ghosts become every past self and unfinished feeling carried into the present. Dancing with them does not erase them. It makes enough room for everyone to move.
赤い提灯が並ぶ細い路地で、真夜中を告げる鐘がまた鳴る。路地の奥の影で何かが待っている。なぜか、ビートに合わせて身体を揺らしている。
『Moonlit Groove』は、このEPの遊び心に満ちた怪談だ。妖怪、くるくると舞う狐の精、花びら、幻のリズムがダンスフロアを埋めていく。夜は怪しい。それでもグルーヴは、恐れを誘いへ変え続ける。
月夜はつきよと読み、月に照らされた夜を意味する。ブリッジの止まらないと踊り続けては、静止することを拒む。語り手は、そこにいる気配がどこへも去らないと悟る。
そこで、逃げるのをやめる。幽霊は、いくつもの過去の自分と、まだ終わっていない感情へ姿を変える。一緒に踊っても、それらが消えるわけではない。ただ、誰もが動ける余白が生まれる。
